WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU WAKE UP ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?

the morning of october sixth, two thousand twelve, chris and i woke up, gave each other a squeeze and went our separate ways until we would see each other again at the alter (or more accurately the middle of a field) a few hours later

i met up with my lady friends and we curled my hair, i finished my vows, and then we did the most sensible thing possible. chill in a hot tub

PRE-WEDDING COCKTAIL PARTY

after the rehearsal we had a big family dinner at Peekamoose and then met friends at a local bar in roxbury for pre-wedding day cocktails.

it was nice to welcome people as they were getting into town and buy everyone a drink before the official big day.  and pose in the middle of the street and throw leaves, naturally.

HERE COMES THE WEDDING

hunker down friends, the next handful of posts are going to be from our wedding in october. 

all the pictures were taken by one of my favorite people in the world, the most amazing Nina Westervelt and there are way too many photos i love for just one post.

the day before our wedding a crew of us spent the afternoon decorating the barn and trying to figure out just how this whole ceremony thing was gonna work. we pretty much had no idea what we were doing but it was awesome figuring it out with our friends and family.

side note - wedding rehearsals are way more fun with cocktails in red solo cups.

ICE CLIMBING

i had no idea that people do ice climbing in the catskills in the winter. chris and i found these guys last weekend while we were exploring upstate.

these people are bananas.

AND THE BEST BRIDE GOES TO....

got our wedding pics from the amazingly talented miss nina westervelt the other day. i've been so busy i haven't been able to edit them to post, but we will soon!

in the mean time here's a picture of me with an oscar right before i headed up to get hitched.

FLEEING NYC

chris will be turning 33 on 3.3.13 (sunday) so we're fleeing NYC for a much needed relaxing weekend in the woods.

i booked us a cozy cabin in the catskills with a fireplace and hot tub, so there's sure to be plenty of taking it easy.
