TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF MY TWENTIES

and i'm totally not mad at it. sure, my twenties were pretty epic.

between graduating college and moving to new york in the early years to creating an amazing friend group, partying our butts off, having dream jobs and meeting the boy i'll spend the rest of my life with - the last decade has done me right.

but when it comes down to it moving forward is always the right direction. and my 30's are shaping up to pretty friggin' amazing.

things i've already have on the docket for THIS year:
- memorial day next to the pool
- camping trips
- beach days
- weekend in the hamptons
- my bachelorette party
- tubin in texas
- getting married in the catskills!
- honeymoon in thailand and cambodia

i'm ready 30s.

I HEART MY MOM

My favorite memory of my mom is spending time coloring with her in coloring books. I thought she was the most amazing artist in the whole world. She taught me how to do shading and add makeup to all the disney princesses. I owe all my craftiness to her.

THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A SLOTH CAKE

not sure if you know this, but me and my friends like to make each other awesome birthday cakes.

one of my bestie's, julia, always makes radical cakes for my birthday (28, 29) so i jumped at the chance to return the favor for her 30th this weekend. we all decided her love of sloths meant one thing = sloth cake, and i stepped up to the challenge.

I made 7 different cakes to build the body, used fondant to form the claws, and died shredded coconut green for the grass. here's the process in photo form:
