in short - my friends rule and threw me a super fun BBQ for my birthday in may. there was everything i love: temporary tattoos, tacos, pictures, a keg, dice, a pinata, and of course - an awesome cake that julia and chris made for me.

i know i say it a lot, but MAN my friends kick ass.

I HATE LAUNDRY

before i had a washing machine in my apartment i haaaaated doing laundry. 

i mean - HAAAATED doing laundry.

i have no idea why. it was just fact.

the thought of a looming laundry day would hover over me like a dark cloud for weeks until i'd finally crack and spend the 2 hours doing 40lbs of dirty clothes.

i just realized a couple weeks ago that i haven't gone to the laundromat in over two years. and that made me smile.

it wouldn't be summer without at least one birthday boat cruise. giant sammies, bands, dancing, the sunset and drive by to lady liberty. i love celebrating people's birthday's while circling manhattan on a boat.
